In August 2019, my husband’s parents had an unexpected visit from their niece and her two young girls (ages 6 and 4). The girls were expecting to stay with my husband’s parents for an uncertain amount of time and my mother-in-law asked me for some creative ideas to keep the girls busy during their stay, so I had started collecting a list of activities for them. Never would I have imagined that this list would come in handy six months later to help other parents find fun activities for their kids during uncertain times.
As we all know, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has taken the world by surprise and halted our way of life. Most schools have closed early for Spring Break (some will be closed for the remainder of the year) and many daycare centres and public facilities are also closed, leaving parents scrambling to find activities to keep their kids busy while practicing social distancing at home.
In response to this need for extended Spring Break activities, I’m more than happy to share my curated list of craft activities for the kids!
May you all stay safe! Remember to continue to washing your hands, practicing social distancing and going into self-isolation in accordance with government regulations. The sooner we all cooperate with recommendations, the sooner we can all go back to living normal lives.
